Assignment

  1. Student instructors (SI) will prepare, present and grade a mini-lesson for the class on a topic from the list. SIs will work in groups of three.
  2. A lesson plan will be created that includes the following:
    1. Lesson Title:
    2. Objectives: The teacher provided objective and two SI provided objectives.
    3. Implementation Time: 25 minutes
    4. SI Preparation: A step by step list.
    5. Materials for the class: Any materials needed by the SI or students.
    6. Warm-up: For the white board at beginning of lesson.
    7. Lesson Procedure: Step by step numbered list of what the SI and students will do.
    8. Closure/Assignment: How will the SI determine the student's learning?
  3. SIs will be graded by the completeness and quality of their lesson plan and how well the class meets the objectives as assessed by the SI assignment.
